How much authority do artists typically have over their work once it leaves their studio? And who is responsible for upholding the artist's creative intentions once they are no longer around to speak for themselves? This round-table discussion will address the vital role of art market stakeholders (artists, curators, dealers, archivists, and collectors) as custodians of cultural heritage, and approaches to archiving, documenting, and preserving relevant information that benefits the "afterlife" of an artist's production.
