Established in 1905 and based in Durban, South Africa, KZNSA transforms the local arts community through activating and incubating contemporary ideas, artists, and cultural production. This is primarily achieved through exhibitions, artist-led educational initiatives, an annual members' competition, as well as retail partnership opportunities for artists. Representation at art fairs of KZN artists facilitates their exposure to the industry and career growth. KZNSA is a member-based society, registered Public Benefit Organisation and Non Profit Organisation, with 18A status.
