Talk: Curator Filippo Maggia in Conversation with Artists Tommaso Fiscaletti and Nic Grobler

Join us for The Appearance exhibition’s talk with curator Filippo Maggia in conversation with Tommaso Fiscaletti and Nic Grobler, artists based in Cape Town, South Africa. They jointly have developed the project "Hemelliggaam Or The Attempt To Be Here Now” for over six years time. This visual archive comprising photographs, videos and installations, investigates the relationship between Man and Universe and is constantly moving between the reality of important scientific sites and the imaginative fragments of old Afrikaans Sci-Fi novels. Their work has been showcased in museums across South Africa and internationally. The Artists are currently involved in the production of a comprehensive publication of the project.
